Welcome to the home of Poodle Day, an annual event in Carmel, California, that unites poodle owners and lovers — and their furry companions — for a day filled with poodle events and fun. In addition to being one of California’s premier vacation destinations, Carmel consistently ranks as one of Dog Fancy’s top ten most dog-friendly cities in America.
Proceeds from Poodle Day benefit NorCal Poodle Rescue, which has been a haven for poodles and poodle mixes in need in Northern California and Southern Oregon for 27 years. NorCal’s philosophy is to help poodles while also enriching the lives of the people who adopt them.
Poodle Day kicks off the festivities with a parade for poodles and their human companions followed by other activities at the Crossroads. The afternoon event will consist of organized off leash beach play and other less sandy non-organized choices. The final event for Poodle Day are the Poodle Cocktail parties where poodles can lounge in style as their human companions gather for drinks, hors d’oeuvres, and conversation.
