Shalimar
April 16, 1995 – June 18, 2010
My dear friend and first poodle in my life was Shalimar. We met her at the Cypress Inn and fell instantly in love. Her parents, Dan and Jeannie became great friends and encouraged us to get our own poodle. We will never forget her. Here is her memorial as it appeared in the Carmel Pine Cone. Sue & Don
In 2007, Shalimar was selected from more than 300 dogs to be featured in Carmel’s first official dog calendar as Ms. August.
A regular at The Cypress Inn, she was loved by staff and guests alike. As a registered therapy dog, she spent many hours visiting the residents at The Carmel Hills Convalescent home, bringing joy to all she met. Everybody loved her – she was a very special girl. She will be missed by her furry friends as well as all those who walked into her life.
