The 2017 Poodle Day morning events will take place at The Crossroads shopping village, which is located off Highway 1 and Rio Road at 243 Crossroads Boulevard in Carmel, CA. Check-in is scheduled from 8:00 a.m. to 9:25 a.m. At 9:30 a.m. the event will be opened by Stan Burford. Stan Burford is a Northern California broadcasting veteran of over 50 years. Mostly known to radio listeners (KSFO & KGO), Burford was also a familiar face on KGO-TV for 17 years doing double duty with reports on the morning newscast. In addition to supporting NCPR, Stan sits on the Advisory Board for Ceres Community Project of Marin, a non-profit started by his wife. (marin.ceresproject.org).
The Poodle Day Parade officially starts at 9:30 led by our wonderful bag piper Michel d’Avenas. After the parade there will be a special presentation and then Lisa Elliot will present the winners for the 2016 poodle parade.
