OCTOBER 6, 2018

The 2018 Poodle Day morning events will take place at The Crossroads shopping village, which is located off Highway 1 and Rio Road at 243 Crossroads Boulevard in Carmel, CA. Check-in is scheduled from 8:00 a.m. to 9:55 a.m. At 10:00 a.m. the event will be opened by Stan Burford. Stan Burford is a Northern California broadcasting veteran of over 50 years. Mostly known to radio listeners (KSFO & KGO), Burford was also a familiar face on KGO-TV for 17 years doing double duty with reports on the morning newscast. Now retired, Stan lives in San Rafael with his wife. In addition to supporting NCPR, Stan sits on the Advisory Board for Ceres Community Project of Marin, a non-profit started by his wife. The Poodle Day Parade officially starts at 10:00 led by our wonderful bag piper Michel d’Avenas. After the parade Lisa Elliot will present the winners for the 2018 poodle parade.

Registration fee is $40 per dog. These are refundable until September 26, 2018. There is a $5 fee for cancelling your registration. As an example, four dogs are registered and you need to cancel your payment transaction, there will be a $5 fee deducted from your refund.

If you have to cancel and want to donate the fee, please contact us for a tax donation receipt.

Prizes are for each of the categories: Toy, Miniature, Standard, Small Mix and Large Mix. Toys, Miniature, Small mix and Large mix have two prizes each, one for natural and the other for best costume or enhanced color. Standards have three categories: Black and Grey; White and Cream, Apricot, Brown, Parti; and all other colors. Each of these has two awards, one for natural and the other for best custom or enhanced color.

Groups of 3 or more registrations can walk together by noting the groups information in affinity field when registering. No single notations in this field will be announced. Walking together in groups must be in numerical order and one registration at time per our terms and conditions. If you just want to walk with a friend, not it in the registration and we will do our best to put you together in parade.

PLEASE NOTE: You will be asked at the beginning of the registration process to agree to our terms and conditions. For the parade we announce the registered guests in the order of these categories (toy, miniature, small mix, large mix and then standard poodles). Within each of the categories we announce the registered guests in numerical sequence (based on a random number they are assigned after registration). You must walk in numerical order to be announced. That means you must know your number and according to that prepare yourself/be in line correctly before parade start. We will not stop the parade and try to find your information if you march out of order. We will do our best to announce all the people who were late at the end of the parade.

Please refer to our terms and conditions for more information on the parade, and remember the prizes are for fun. This is not a show, this is a fun family day!

Remember to update your new email addresses on the contact page. We will keep you posted on upcoming activities.

In order to participate in the cocktail parties, you must be registered for the morning event. After registering, the online system will take you to the cocktail party registration and payment screen in PayPal. If you have any questions, please contact us. If parties are sold out, please let us know if you want to be on a waiting list. We have been successful at placing most of the lists in previous years.

Poodle Day registration will open on April 28, 2018, 8:00 am PDT.

I can’t attend this year, but I’d like to donate to Poodle Day/NorCal Poodle Rescue:
